CBD 101

What is CBD?

CBD or Cannabidiol is a chemical derived from the Cannabis Sativa plant, commonly referred as hemp.
CBD is a non-psychoactive component, which means that it doesn’t cause the euphoric sensation
or “high”generally associated with marijuana or cannabis.

How does CBD work?

CBD works synergistically with your body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to supplement the naturally occurring cannabinoids in your system. When absorbed by the body, CBD increases the endocannabinoid system’s ability to promote balance.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

Cannabinoid receptors located throughout the body are part of the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is involved in a variety of physiological processes including appetite, mood, metabolism, hormone regulation, immune response, and memory.

Is CBD Legal?

Smokable hemp is legal at the federal level. The 2018 Farm Bill legalized the cultivation and sale of hemp products as long as they contain no more than 0.3 percent THC. Although hemp is federally legal, that doesn’t mean it can’t be banned at the state level. Indeed, many US states still don’t recognize CBD products, regardless of their THC levels. Some local governments still don’t have clear distinctions in place that separate high-THC marijuana from hemp.

Please keep in mind everything listed on Chill Otter CBD has been lab-tested to ensure there’s no more than 0.3 percent THC content
